Assuming a situation wherein you have forgotten your Wi-Fi password , then you have two options to recover the Forgotten Wi-Fi Password – One….Call your neighborhood service provider to retrieve it – Yes..the one who runs the last mile fiber to your place or use wo simple hacks to get it back yourself in a jiffy !! Remember its your Wi-Fi..and its residing on your network , and it jolly well reveal its identity to you !! – Of course it needs some forced prompts to open its mouth 🙂
So here you are – two command prompts to reveal your wi-fi password
Prerequisite – You need to know at least the SSID Name – the name given to your network by your network provider

Finding SSID – Click on the lower tab which shows Internet Access -> Click on Properties ->You are returned with an output like this..

In my case Deep 5G is my SSID -Now that we have found the name of our network – lets find the Passwords
Method 1 – Find the WiFi Password on Windows
- Open the command prompt in administrator mode.
- Type
cmd
in the Run box
netsh wlan show profile name=x key=clear
Remember to replace x
with the name of your Wireless SSID and hit enter .
I am returned with this result which has my lost password !!

Method 2 – If you want to just the password and not the other information then use this
netsh wlan show profile name=x key=clear | findstr Key
